Publication: as a Co-Founder & Secretary-General of the Korean American Businessmen Friendship Forum (KABFF) for its first-year Foundation Ceremony of the KABFF in 2018

The Korea-US Entrepreneur Friendship Forum (KABFF), a group of entrepreneurs from both countries seeking ways to strengthen ties between mid-sized companies and small and medium-sized companies in both Korea and the United States, and to cope with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, celebrated its 1st anniversary in Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam Hotel, and held the business conference with breakfast. Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who attended the event, emphasized the close cooperation of businessmen between the two countries, saying, “Free trade and fair competition are difficult without sharing trust and universal values ​​between countries.”In addition to former President Ban, former Prime Minister Lee Hong-gu, Honorary Chairman of World Economic Research Institute Sa Gong-il (former President of Korea International Trade Association), former Vice Prime Minister Oh Myung-yeul, and Democratic Party lawmaker Choi Un-yul attended to pray for the solid growth of KABFF. From the US side, Pushpinder Dylan, the US Embassy in Korea Economics Corporation, and John Lonzak, CEO of SHG Consulting Group, attended and gave congratulatory remarks and encouraging speech.

A ceremony to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the founding of the “Korean American Businessmen Friendship Forum (KABFF)” was held at Novotel Ambassador Hotel in Seoul on the 29th. “The close friendship and cooperation between Korea and the United States has been the most important foundation in the development history of the 70 years since the government was born in 1948,” said Ban. It’s like you don’t know.”He continued, “Let’s not forget that cooperation and friendly relations between businessmen from both countries are indispensable for the sustainable development of the Korean economy in the future of the digital revolution.”KABFF is a gathering of mid-sized businessmen who have partnerships with American companies, and about 180 members attended the breakfast that day.

 Together with Warren Buffett and George Soros, Chairman Jim Rogers (Rogers Holdings), who is known as one of the world’s top three investors and business management experts, was recently elected as Honorary Chairman of the Korean American Businessmen Friendship Forum (KABFF).

Jim Rogers predicted that “The two countries, for more than 70 years, will become closer in the future in all areas, including economy, education, tourism, people-to-people exchanges, and technology sharing, based on strong security relations.”He continued, “I believe that the strong relationship between the two countries will serve as a model for all countries in the world.” “Businessmen of both countries, especially young businessmen, should cooperate more closely in the future.”

Jim Rogers said, “I think that the Korean American Businessmen Friendship Forum (KABFF) will play a big role in the relationship between the two countries.”
